Full Circle Arts Sponsorship Contest | Local news

HICKORY – Local artists are invited to enter a competition at Full Circle Arts. The goal of the competition – “It’s music to me” – is to give artists in the region a way to show art in all visual media. Full Circle Arts is looking for artists to show how music affects them in their art and their lives. In two or three sentences, tell us what inspired you to create this particular work of art.

The works must be presented at the gallery on Thursday January 6 or Saturday January 8, 2022. The exhibition will be presented from January 20 to February 19. Applications will be submitted to a jury for acceptance and judged for the prizes.

Registration fees must be paid at the time of delivery. Cash, checks, bank cards are accepted. Registration fees are non-refundable. The registration fee for exhibiting members of the FCA is $ 10. The fee for associate members and patrons of the FCA is $ 25. For non-members, the fee is $ 35. Charges are for a maximum of three entries.

The juror and judge is Byron Jones. Prizes include first place, $ 300; second place, $ 200; third place, $ 100; and honorable mentions and public choice certificates.

An opening reception will be held on Thursday, January 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Full Circle Arts.
