YouTuber Speclizer has managed to access God of War Ragnarok’s unfinished photo mode, though some features show parts of Kratos no one needs to see.

Despite the feature’s boom in popularity, 2018’s Kratos Adventure launched without a photo mode in tow. However, developer Santa Monica Studio hasn’t left virtual photographers permanently suspended.

A post-launch update added the mode just weeks after the game was released on PS4. But players were hoping God of War Ragnarok would be different in that regard.

Unfortunately, while the development team has confirmed that The photo mode is in preparationa firm expiry date is currently missing.

God of War Ragnarok’s Unfinished Photo Mode Has Been Unlocked

YouTuber Speclizer managed to open Ragnarok’s incomplete photo mode on PS4. While doing so, the modder shared some footage and a few stills showing the new mode in action.

The feature offers a slew of settings depending on how things look, including lighting, vignette, and camera options. It looks like players can also expect the mode to allow them to tinker with different facial animations for Kratos, Atreus, and Mimir.

But an animation feature reveals Kratos in a way few people would want to see. Since the Face 16 setting approximates Kratos’ mouth, let’s just say dental plans in the pre-Viking era weren’t up to par.

As of this writing, Santa Monica Studio has yet to confirm a release date for God of War Ragnarok’s coveted photo mode.

The incomplete version above still looks very impressive, however. With that in mind, perhaps the feature will go live sooner rather than later.

When it arrives, hopefully not too many people will take up the hobby of taking close-ups of the grizzled warrior’s teeth.

God of War Ragnarok is now available on PS4 and PS5.
