While there is certainly a lot going on in the lives of the privileged Constance Billiards of Manhattan and the students of St. Jude in Gossip Girl season 1 part 2, the story just won’t end there. As HBO Max confirmed in September, the Gossip Girl the reboot has already been renewed for season 2, although there is currently no indication of when it will air. Right now, it looks like the series is using Part 2 to improve its muted critical response. As teased by the trailer, in the next group of Gossip Girl episodes, friction within the LGBTQ + community will be explored in more detail and the ramifications of social media misuse will also be highlighted with greater attention; unlike in the past, when these topics were treated as mere subplots.

From its appearance, Gossip Girl part 2 is more controversial and provocative than the last opus. Part 1 was more about relationship and family drama, but Part 2 seems to take a rather unusual approach as it uncovers most of the secrets and highlights the unintended consequences of its characters’ poor social knowledge. The new trailer also promised sizable screen time for underrated characters like Monet and Luna. If this is coupled with more cameos Gossip Girl members of the original cast, there is little that can stop the Gossip Girl part 2 of the reboot to become a huge success. Still, to be sure, fans will have to wait for the new one. Gossip Girl the episodes are coming.
