VILLAGE ARTS PRESS RELEASE

Over 40 wild, wacky, and whimsical new creatures now grace the walls of Village Arts, and they need an audience! These colorful creatures are both fun and fantastical and you can tell Village Arts has loads of imaginative performers coming through the doors! Many creatures are looking for new homes, so be on the lookout! Dragons, goats, birds, cats, hippos, whosits and whatsits just might be begging to come home with you!

The depth and breadth of the artwork on display is remarkable. Artists range in age from under 5 to over 90 and work in media as diverse as felt and fiber, stained glass mosaic, wood, printmaking, batik, clay, marker, watercolor, collage, digital media, acrylic, etc.

Out on a Whim’s artwork will be on display until August 6, so you’ll have plenty of time to come back for repeat visits and get inspired for Village Arts’ upcoming show ‘What I Did For my summer vacation “. Be sure to stop by and vote for your favorite piece, which will give artists a chance to win a gift certificate to keep them well-stocked with art supplies.

Village Arts is located at 216 DP Road and is currently open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
