The Eau Claire Children’s Theater closes the month of July with two shows | Eye On Clear Water

CLEAR WATER (WQOW) — From a wildly popular detective show to a beloved Disney classic, Eau Claire Children’s Theater is gearing up for some fun shows to wrap up the month of July.

“In the fairy tale criminal justice system, the characters are represented by two equally ridiculous groups. These are their stories.” This is the description of the first ECCT show: “Law & Order: Fairy Tale Unit”.

This is the second show in the “By Kids, For Kids” summer series. It is a parody of the popular TV show using fairy tale characters as criminals, detectives, lawyers and jurors.

Performances on July 21 at 10 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.; July 22 at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at The Oxford. All seats $5 general admission at ecct.org or at the door.

The second show to close out the month is Disney’s “The Little Mermaid.”

“In a magical kingdom under the sea, Ariel yearns to leave her ocean home to live in the upper world with handsome Prince Eric. When a deal with the wicked sea witch Ursula isn’t what he seems, Flounder, Scuttle and Sebastian must come to the rescue in this eternal love affair.”

This is the last major musical of the season and one of ECCT’s most popular shows. It features a large cast and live orchestra, projected sets, and flying performers like Ariel, Scuttle, and Ursula.

Performances from July 27 to 30 at 7:30 p.m.; July 30 and 31 at 1:30 p.m. at the RCU Theater of the Center Pablo. Tickets available online at pablocenter.org and at the door.
