Those who tune into ITV today might be confused to see Supermarket Sweep in the 10-hour slot instead of This Morning, with Loose Women also canceled.
Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary, who usually host This Morning during the holidays, weren’t on the air as expected as Rylan Clark’s popular game show aired instead.
So what happened? During Friday’s episode of This Morning last week, Alison explained that there will be no more live shows of This Morning for the remainder of 2021, with the exception of a special by Pre-recorded Christmas hosted by Phillip and Holly.

With This Morning pulled from the schedules, the daytime schedule is replaced by the restart of Supermarket Sweep, run by Rylan Clark; Stephen Mulhern’s game show In For A Penny and covers of popular ITV drama Midsomer Murders.
Loose Women has also been taken off the schedule, but will return Christmas Eve at 10 a.m. on ITV.
The upheaval comes after the merger of Lorraine and Good Morning Britain on Monday morning.
Andi Peters presented the GMB Studios show, explaining that ITV had improved its protocols.
At the end of Monday’s show, host Adil Ray explained, “Andi is for Lorraine at 9am GMB studio.”
“It’s nice to be here and I’ll do Lorraine from here,” Andi replied.
Explaining what was going on, Andi continued, “Obviously here at ITV we’ve improved our procedures, which means I’ll be using this studio to do Lorraine instead of using Lorraine studio, which means it protects our staff and us too. ”
