X Factor ‘Tesco Mary’ Byrne showed off her incredible six stone weight loss and brand new look.
The 62-year-old singer, a former Tesco worker who took part in the show’s 2010 series, has since revealed her weight shot up to 21 stone after her appearance on the show.
She told the Irish mirror: ‘I looked at the picture of me on the show and me now and honestly I was shocked.

“Because it happened gradually over the decade, I guess I didn’t notice it as much, but yeah, it’s shocking weight loss. I had just under 21 stone on the show and now have just over 15 stone.
Mary said the results had such a positive influence on her health that she wanted to stop her antidepressants.
She praised her daughter for inspiring her to change.

The singer said, “My daughter is the cause and we fight like cats and dogs because she’s so strict with me.” But it worked.
“She won’t let me shop because she knows I’m buying junk, which I will, but she made it clear to me that life is for living.”
Along with her weight loss, Mary also showed off some new blonde shorts, in place of her long brown hair.

She said she was aiming to lose another two stones in weight and was simply eating smaller portions and exercising regularly.
Mary, who performed alongside One Direction and came in fifth place, previously revealed she had already lost four and a half stones in weight.
